I am a firm believer that if you want something badly enough, there's no way you won't achieve it. Of course, this is easier said than done, but when are the things worth having ever easy?
Hi, I’m Alyssa, an aspiring art director. I’m someone who’s naturally curious and drawn to a lot of different spaces, from food to travel to beauty to health. To me, that’s what being creative is about, finding ways to express ideas in different forms and seeing how they can live across different worlds. I don’t think creativity should be confined to one lane. I’m interested in exploring how the same idea can take on different meanings depending on where it lives and who it’s for. And honestly, if something sticks, it sticks.
A big part of that perspective comes from my love of traveling and meeting new people. Being exposed to different cultures has changed the way I see things and made me more aware of how differently people experience the world. It’s made me think more intentionally about how ideas are communicated and understood.
Right now, I’m focused on building my portfolio and experimenting with new ways to create. This past semester, I took a class centered around exploring AI across visual, audio, and sound, which really opened my eyes to how creatives are starting to use these tools. It pushed me to step outside of what I was comfortable with and think more about process, experimentation, and what creativity can look like moving forward.
And while I’m still figuring things out, I know the direction I want to go, and I’m willing to do the work to get there.
